1. Disney+ Hotstar signs 10 sponsors for IPL 2021

Disney+ Hotstar has already signed 10 sponsors for this year’s tournament. As reported by exchange4media, Dream11 is the ‘Co-presenting Sponsor’, Upstox and Vimal Pan Masala are the ‘Co-powered By’ sponsors. Phone Pe, Association of Mutual Funds in India (AMFI), Unacademy, Pharmeasy, Livspace, Swiggy, and Parle Agro have signed on as Associate Sponsors. IPL 2021 will be streamed on Disney+ Hotstar in five languages – English, Hindi, Telugu, Kannada, and Tamil between 9 April and 30 May 2021.

PubMatic, the digital advertising technology company, has announced a global partnership with GroupM, WPP’s media investment group. As per The Economic Times, the partnership aims to ensure GroupM has a transparent and efficient path to supply across multiple ad formats and channels. While GroupM will gain programmatic advantages, PubMatic’s publisher partners will gain access to unique, quality ad spend at scale from GroupM’s broad portfolio of global advertisers.

Telecommunications company Vi has partnered with Disney+ Hotstar to provide a year of free content to its users. This includes live sports, Hindi and Tamil movies, international offerings, kids shows and Hotstar Specials. With this association, the company aims to offer consumers the best content experience in their language.

4. Havas Media Bags Digital Mandate for Wai Wai

Havas Media India has won the digital media mandate for Wai Wai, a noodle brand from Chaudhary Group (CG Foods). According to campaign India, Havas Media’s mandate includes digital media and website management. The account will be handled by the agency’s Gurugram office led by Uday Mohan, president – North and West India, Havas Media.
