WPP has launched VMLY&R COMMERCE, a new end-to-end “Creative Commerce Company”. VMLY&R COMMERCE will operate as a distinct company within the VMLY&R global network. WPP agencies Geometry and VMLY&R will bring together their respective commerce capabilities to provide expertise and delivery for clients. According to afaqs, VMLY&R COMMERCE will be led by Global Chief Executive Officer Beth Ann Kaminkow, currently Global CEO of Geometry.

2. Omnicom Media Group Announces Official Expansion of Fuse

Omnicom Media Group (OMG) has announced the official expansion of Fuse, OMG’s market-leading sport and entertainment practice, across Asia-Pacific. Headquartered in Singapore, the Fuse team will be tasked with delivering transformative marketing solutions for clients in the region across sport, e-sports and music. As reported by the Economic Times, Fuse in APAC will be built on a new model that leverages the commercial, digital, and creative capabilities of OMG’s network to help clients modernise their sponsorship strategies through better strategic guidance, smarter digital activation, cutting-edge analysis, and delivering faster and more attributable return on investment.

3. Havas Group Appoints Prashant Tekwani as EVP & Business Head, Havas CX India

Havas Group India has appointed Prashant Tekwani as EVP & Business Head of Havas CX India, the newly formed customer experience network, with immediate effect. In his new role, Prashant’s mandate will work towards accelerating Havas CX journey of transformation in India along with the core leadership team in the group. As per afaqs, he will be based out of Mumbai which is one of the key cities across the globe for the network’s growth.

Flipkart has acquired Scapic, an augmented reality (AR) company, for an undisclosed sum. Scapic is a cloud-based platform which enables creation and publishing of AR and 3D content, serving clients across e-commerce and marketing. As noted by The Economic Times, Flipkart will acquire a 100% stake in Scapic and onboard a team of developers and designers.

5. Amazon Launches Amazon Pharmacy

Amazon has launched an online pharmacy for delivering prescription medications in the United States, as mentioned by TechCrunch. Called Amazon Pharmacy, the new store lets customers price-compare as they buy drugs on the company’s website or app. The company also said that Prime subscribers get up to 80% off generic and up to 40% off brand drugs when they pay without insurance, as well as two-day delivery.
