1. Amazon Pay India Gets Rs 225 Cr Fund Infusion from Parent

Amazon has infused close to Rs 225 crore in equity funding into its Indian digital payments arm, Amazon Pay (India), according to livemint. This is the third major funding tranche that Amazon Pay has received from parent Amazon since the beginning of last year. It had raised Rs 700 crore in October 2020, and Rs 1,355 crore in January 2020. The funding comes at a time when Amazon Pay has been actively competing with rivals such as Paytm, PhonePe and Google Pay in the digital payments space.

Ogilvy India has appointed Kedar Mehta as head of consulting for its experience business in India. Mehta joins from Reliance Jio where he was the program and marketing lead and headed program management for Jio Prime. His major work contributions lie in the areas of customer experience, digital transformation and marketing and CRM.

3. Facebook Enables Content Creators to Earn Ad Revenue from Short-form Videos

Facebook is allowing content creators to earn ad revenue from short-form video. Content creators will now be able to monetise all video types and testing sticker ads in Stories. As reported by exchange4media, Facebook also updated in-stream ad eligibility, allowing more creators to access in-stream ads for Live and expand paid online events and fan subscriptions to more countries.

4. Kantar Appoints Ted Prince as Chief Product Officer

Kantar has appointed Ted Prince Jr to the newly created position of Chief Product Officer. Reporting to CEO Alexis Nasard, he will be responsible for defining and delivering the next generation of Kantar offerings and real-time platforms.
