Ahead of the 2020 US elections, Twitter will ban political ads from 22 November 2019. The change in Twitter’s policy comes as the debate over political messages on social media intensifies. Last week, Facebook CEO, Mark Zuckerberg, emphasized on “free expression” but Facebook’s decision to not remove political ads sparked backlash.

3. ByteDance Clocks Rs 3.4 Crore Profit In India

ByteDance, parent company of TikTok, has reported a revenue of Rs 43.7 crores and profit of Rs 3.4 crore in the first year of operations in India. This includes advertising income of Rs 2 crores and service fees of Rs 41.5 crore. As per The Economic Times, the top expenses were advertising and content of about Rs 13 crores.
