1. Warc report: Adspend to slow significantly in 2023
A report by Warc says that global advertising spend will increase by 8.3% in 2022, but market growth will slow to 2.6% by 2023. The report predicts that because of the slowdown, it expects there will be $904 billion spent on ads in 2023.

2. Reports: Broadcasters demand e-auction for ICC media rights
NewsDrum reports that top broadcasters have written to ICC to consider adopting e-auction as the only process. The demand comes on the heels of PricewaterhouseCoopers (PWC) stepping down as the ‘process auditor’ for the ongoing ICC media rights process.

3. Petr Šolc appointed Director – Sales & Marketing of ŠKODA Auto India
ŠKODA AUTO Volkswagen India Private Limited has appointed Petr Šolc as Director of Sales & Marketing of ŠKODA AUTO India. Petr Šolc succeeds Zac Hollis who will be taking on another role within the Volkswagen Group.

4. Dentsu Creative India appoints Ajeet Shukla as Group ECD
Dentsu Creative India has appointed Ajeet Shukla as Group Executive Creative Director. He will report into Aalap Desai, Chief Creative Officer, Taproot Dentsu and Isobar India. Prior to this, Shukla was with Publicis India as ECD.

5. GroupM promotes Sidharth Parashar
Parashar will be joining the APAC Mindshare leadership team as Chief Investment Officer, Mindshare APAC and will now be based out of Singapore. Parashar will report to Helen McRae, Chief Executive Officer, Mindshare APAC.
