1. Cannes Lions Day 4: Cheil India Wins Silver Lion

On day 4 of Cannes Lions 2021, Cheil India won a Silver Lion for its ‘Now, Words Aren’t Just Heard’ campaign for Samsung while FCB Interface added a Bronze Lion for ‘The Punishing Signal’ campaign under Brand & Activation category. Dentsu Webchutney picked up a Bronze Lion for Vice Media’s ‘The 8-bit Journo’ campaign under the Mobile Lions category and another Bronze Lion for Swiggy Instamart’s ‘The Better Half Recipes’ campaign under the Creative eCommerce (cultural insight) category. Yesterday, Dentsu Webchutney bagged two Silver Lions in the Digital Craft and Entertainment categories while Ogilvy India won a Bronze Lion under Creative Data category for Mondelez’s #NotACadburyAd campaign.


2. Google & Jio to Launch ‘JioPhone Next’

Google and Jio have partnered to roll out a new smartphone called ‘JioPhone Next’. With this launch, the two technology organizations aim to address the unique needs of millions of smartphone users across India. As per exchange4media, ‘JioPhone Next’ will run on a special version of Android and come with language and translation features, a great camera and support for latest Android updates


3. SBI Awards Creative Mandate to Concept Communication

State Bank of India has awarded its creative mandate to Concept Communication.  As reported by exchange4media, the mandate was won after a multi-agency pitch. The agency will work on strategy, positioning, brand identity, creative, and design for SBI’s initiatives across all media. This includes all internal communications and stakeholders’ communications.
