1. Nestle India Reports Growth in Online Sales

Nestle India has reported a significant growth in online sales. As per afaqs, the company declared that it has seen a 111% growth in e-commerce sales. The likes of Amazon, Flipkart and BigBasket now contribute 3.7% of Nestle’s domestic sales.  The total and domestic sales for the year 2020 increased by 8.1% and 8.5% respectively. The total and domestic sales for the last quarter increased by 9.2% and 10.1% respectively. Export sales were lower by 7.7% due to lower coffee exports.


2. Twitter Tests Voice Messages in DMs in India

Twitter is testing voice messages in direct messages (DMs) in India. The experiment will be rolled out in phases to Indian audiences, making India one of three countries to have access to the feature alongside Brazil and Japan. As reported by exchange4media, each voice message can be up to 140 seconds long and can help people chat quickly whether on the move or when there’s just too much to type.

Wunderman Thompson India has won the integrated creative mandate comprising ATL, BTL and digital services for Tata Power’s solar rooftop solutions. Wunderman Thompson India will partner Tata Power to drive growth across geographies, demographics and mind-sets. The mandate has been won following a a multi-agency pitch.


4. L&K Saatchi & Saatchi Appoints Dipti Rode as Senior Creative Director

L&K Saatchi & Saatchi has appointed Dipti Rode as Senior Creative Director. As per exchange4media, she will be based out of Mumbai and report to Rohit Malkani, Joint National Creative Director. She joins the agency from What’s Your Problem (WYP) where she was instrumental in driving creative engagement and strategy for brands like Arrow, Tanishq, Future Generali, Johnnie Walker among others.


5. Publicis Groupe UK Acquires Octopus Group

Publicis Groupe UK has acquired Octopus Group, with the intent to absorb the agency within its existing cohort of B2B specialists. According to The Drum, the takeover comes at a point of transition for the wider B2B market, which has been buffeted by a shake-out of communications, commerce, supply chains and distribution – all arising from the pandemic. Octopus Group will become part of Publicis Groupe’s UK creative practice.
