1. Mediabrands Launches Mediabrands Content Studio in India

Mediabrands has launched Mediabrands Content Studio (MBCS) in India. MBCS will focus on creating content strategies for Mediabrands India clients, across three emerging categories: branded content opportunities with media partners, digital content that drives performance and engagement, and brand fueled long and short-form original content. As per The Economic Times, the content division of Mediabrands India has been integrated with MBCS India, which will soon announce its leadership and structure.

2. Amazon India Launches ‘miniTV’

Amazon India has launched ‘miniTV’, a free video streaming service. This is in addition to Amazon Prime Video, which is a paid OTT subscription offering from its stable. As noted by campaign India, miniTV is ad-supported and is available within the Amazon shopping app. Content on it includes web-series, comedy shows, tech news, food, beauty, fashion and more.  

3. Bata India Appoints Gunjan Shah as CEO

Footwear major Bata India Limited has appointed Gunjan Shah as its new Chief Executive Officer. According to exchange4media, Shah will be at the helm of the brand’s operations in India. Prior to this, he was the Chief Commercial Officer at Britannia Industries. Shah takes over from Sandeep Kataria who has been elevated as the Global CEO of Bata Brands.

4. ASCI Appoints Infectious Advertising as Creative Partner

The Advertising Standards Council of India (ASCI) has appointed Infectious Advertising as their creative partner. As reported by The Economic Times, Infectious Advertising will provide ATL, BTL, and digital creative services to ASCI along with strategic support for campaign development and audience outreach programs.

5. Tips Music Inks Global Licensing Deal with YouTube Shorts

Tips Music has inked a global licensing deal with YouTube’s short video service Shorts. As part of this deal, Tips will license its large catalogue of songs to YouTube Shorts, which is currently available in India and the US. Its music library spans across genres like film/non-film songs, devotional music, ghazals and indie pop.
