1. Dentsu Reports Annual Operating Loss of 140.6bn Yen

Dentsu has posted an annual operating loss of 140.6bn Yen – the second year in a row of losses, as reported by campaign India. Dentsu International, which houses its businesses operating outside of Japan, had another tough quarter as revenues saw little improvement, declining 13.2% in the final three months of the year because of Covid-19.  Dentsu has taken an impairment charge of 140.3bn Yen on the value of the international business. The group’s annual revenues fell 11.1% on an organic basis, with declines of 13% at Dentsu International and 8.3% at Dentsu Japan.  


2. Kinnect Awarded Digital Mandate for TVS StaR City+, TVS Sport, and TVS Jupiter

Kinnect has been awarded the digital mandate for TVS StaR City+, TVS Sport, and TVS Jupiter manufactured by TVS Motor Company. The account was won following a multi-agency pitch. As per The Economic Times, the agency will be responsible for driving and delivering the overall social media campaigns of the brand. The mandate includes creative strategy and execution, social media management, as well as online reputation management. The agency will also be involved in planning and executing performance-focused media campaigns for the brand across all channels.

3. Gayatri Rath Joins General Electric as Executive Director, Communications, GE South Asia

Gayatri Rath has joined General Electric as Executive Director, Communications, GE South Asia. According to exchange4media, Rath will be responsible for strengthening the brand position for GE, enabling business objectives and serving stakeholders, as well as promoting and protecting GE’s reputation across South Asia.
