GroupM has roped in Ajay Mehta as Managing Director of Cinema (ITV) and OOH (Kinetic). Prior to this, he was Managing Director of ITV. As per exchange4media, Mehta will also be joining the GroupM India Executive Committee.

PVR Reports 11% Jump In Consolidated Revenue
PVR Limited has reported Consolidated Profit After Tax at Rs 27 crore for FY20 as compared to Rs 189 crore in FY19. Business Today reports that the multiplex chain has recorded a 11% jump in consolidated revenue at Rs 3,452 crore for the financial year ending March 31, 2020, as compared to Rs 3,119 crores last year. The consolidated EBITDA has also increased by 80% for the year as compared to the last financial year.

Network18 To Discontinue Lifestyle Channel, FYI TV18
Network18 has decided to discontinue its lifestyle channel FYI TV18 and FYI TV18 HD from 8 July 2020. FYI TV18 was a joint venture between A+E Networks and TV18 which was launched in 2016. According to exchange4media, the network has also revised its bouquet offering and informed that their channel, Rishtey Cineplex, shall be converted from Free To Air (FTA) to pay effective 8 July 2020.


Flipkart Rolls Out Voice Assistant Feature For Supermart
Flipkart will be rolling out a voice assistant feature to its platform to make it easier for consumers to shop. As noted by livemint, the AI-powered voice assistant currently assists both in Hindi and English and supports the grocery category called Supermart. Last year in November, Flipkart had launched ‘Flipkart Saathi’, a smart assistive interface feature to help first-time e-commerce customers use the platform.
