1. Facebook Partners with UNICEF India to Build Safer Online Experiences

UNICEF India and Facebook have launched a one-year joint initiative on ending violence against children with a special focus on online safety. As per exchange4media, the partnership seeks to create a safe environment for children online and offline. This partnership will include a nation-wide social media awareness campaign, and capacity building for 100,000 school children on online safety, digital literacy, and psychosocial support. 


2. Nestle India to Sport Masks on Packaging

Nestle India will be using masks on logos of its popular Maggi, KitKat, Nescafe and Everyday brands, aimed at promoting ‘covid appropriate’ behaviour. As per livemint, packs with tweaked logos of the four brands will hit retail shelves over the coming weeks. The India-specific packaging changes will also be accompanied by print and digital campaigns.

upGrad has closed a $185-million funding round at a valuation of $1.2 billion, thus entering the coveted unicorn club. As noted by The Economic Times, Singapore’s Temasek Holdings Ltd, the World Bank’s International Finance Corporation and IIFL participated in the fundraising. The other unicorns in the ed-tech space include companies like Byju’s and Unacademy.

Rediffusion Healthcare has announced the setting up of a market research division which will be headed by Aarti Dharmadhikari. Dharmadhikari has been appointed as market research lead and will report to Sujata Mahadik, CEO, Rediffusion Healthcare. As per campaign India, she will be based in Mumbai.
