1. Ajay Gahlaut Exits Publicis Worldwide India

Ajay Gahlaut, CCO and MD of Publicis Worldwide, India (PWW) has decided to move on from the agency. As reported by exchange4media, he will be with the agency until mid-August and will ensure a steady handover to all concerned teams and clients. The agency has also elevated Vikash Chemjong and Basabjit ‘Tito’ Mazumdar to the role of Joint National Creative Directors. The duo would take on the role of managing the creative mandate for all brands under PWW and will report to Srija Chatterjee, MD, Publicis Worldwide, India.


2. Bombay High Court Gives HUL Interim Relief

The Bombay High Court has awarded Hindustan Unilever (HUL) an interim relief, in the issue with Emami involving HUL rebranding its skin cream for men ‘Glow & Handsome’, as reported by Bloomberg Quint. Emami claimed that it already has a cream named Glow and Handsome. After hearing the pleas, the court maintained that prima facie it does appear that HUL adopted the name first in September 2018 and subsequently on 25 June 2020.


3. Sun Pharma Appoints Wavemaker India As Media Partner

Pharmaceutical company, Sun Pharma, has announced Wavemaker India as its media partner. As noted by campaign India, Wavemaker India will manage the integrated media mandate for Sun Pharma in the country.  The account was won following a multi-agency pitch.


4. Sony Pictures Network- Sports Channels Appoints Vaibhav Chib As Creative Director

Former Star India Vice President-Creative, Vaibhav Chib, has joined Sony Pictures Network- Sports Channels as Creative Director. According to exchange4media, he will be reporting to Neville Bastawalla, Head – Marketing & On-Air Promotions, Sports Channels at SPNI. Prior to joining Sony, Chib worked with Star India for over seven years as VP-Creative. He joined Star in May 2013. 


5. SKF India Appoints Aparna Srivastava As Head Of Communications


SKF India has appointed Aparna Srivastava as its new Head of Communications. Based out of Gurgaon, Aparna will be reporting to Manish Bhatnagar, Managing Director, SKF India. As per exchange4media, she will be responsible for corporate communications, investor relations, media relations, marketing communications, branding and events. Aparna joins SKF India from DuPont, where she was heading CSR and Communications for the India and South Asia market.
