1. WeWork India Appoints Megha Agarwal as Head of Marketing
WeWork India has announced key strategic appointments to the India leadership team. As reported by exchange4media, Megha Agarwal has been appointed as the new Head of Marketing at WeWork India. Prior to this, Megha worked with Unilever for over a decade. Raghuvinder Singh Pathania, previously Head of Operations, is now the Head of Community and Operations, India while Dharam Mehta has been named Head – Digital Products.

2. Samsung Removes Ads from its Core Apps
Samsung has started removing advertisements from its core apps such as Weather, Samsung Pay, and Samsung Themes. As reported by The Economic Times, Samsung users had earlier complained that despite paying a high price for high-end devices, they are shown ads every time any Samsung app is accessed. While the ads may be removed from Samsung’s first-party apps, users will continue to see ads on the Galaxy Store.

3. H+K India Appoints Shubhreet Kaur as Director, Creative Services
Hill+Knowlton Strategies (H+K) has appointed Shubhreet Kaur as director of creative services in India. As noted by The Economic Times, she will be responsible for bringing a fresh perspective for actionable, creative initiatives to the company. Prior to this, Kaur worked as a media consultant.

4. Flipkart Launches Content Initiative
Flipkart has launched a content initiative called “ The Big Billion Day Dhamaal”, according to afaqs. This initiative amalgamates the shopping experience with entertainment and includes an hour of daily live content on the Flipkart app with top celebrities, comedians and influences. Apart from playing games and entertaining shoppers, the celebrities will also showcase their own favourite products and viewers will get a chance to win prizes by participating in the quizzes during the shows.

5. Toshiba India Appoints Shuichi Ito as Managing Director
Toshiba India has appointed Shuichi Ito as the Managing Director, effective 01 October 2021. As part of his new role, Ito will lead the company to next level of growth across the group’s energy and social infrastructure businesses in the country.
