1. Dabur India Launches Premium Variant of Vatika Shampoo

Dabur India announced that they are launching a more premium variant of its Vatika shampoo. This new range includes a Coconut Milk Extract shampoo, Moroccan Argan Oil shampoo, Red Onion Black Seed Oil shampoo and Apple Cider Vinegar shampoo. Dabur has picked Flipkart to launch the new range as it is focusing on more internet-first launches. As per livemint, the company’s move mirrors a shift among Indian households that are seeking more variety and premium products in the market.

2. Netflix Launches ‘Fast Laughs’ feature

Netflix has launched a new feature called Fast Laughs for mobile devices. Fast Laughs offers a full-screen feed of funny clips from the platform’s big comedy catalog including films, series, sitcoms and more. Users can access the feed by clicking on the ‘Fast Laughs’ tab. As noted by afaqs, the feature appears to be similar to other short video platforms like TikTok and Instagram’s reels.


3. Oppo Mobile India’s FY 20 Revenue Rises by 79% & Ad Expenses Double

Oppo Mobiles India’s revenue from operations for the fiscal ended 31 March 2020 has shot up 79% to Rs 38,574.5 crore from Rs 21,524.6 crore in the previous fiscal. According to exchange4media, the company’s total expenses jumped 85% to Rs 42,040.3 crore from Rs 22,766 crore. The company’s advertising promotional expenses more than doubled to Rs 2,276.5 crore from Rs 1,111.6 crore. Total loss for the period expanded to Rs 2203.2 crore from Rs 688 crore in the year-ago period.


4. Initiative Elevated Amy Armstrong to Global CEO

IPG’s media planning and buying agency, Initiative has elevated Amy Armstrong to global CEO. Armstrong has been leading Initiative’s US business for four years and is noted with transforming the agency’s operations, driving its business success and championing diversity and inclusion. As per campaign India, she has held leadership roles at various IPG agencies for over 20 years. She takes over from Mat Baxter who is set to take on a new leadership role at parent IPG.


5. Truecaller Launches App Called ‘Guardians’

Truecaller has launched an application called ‘Guardians’ to help users with their safety concerns.  As reported by campaign India, the application will be free and will work across platforms and networks. Its main features will include location sharing, display of battery and network strength and choosing of any number of guardians from one’s contacts, who will be alerted, should any situation arise.
