1. McCann Worldgroup Makes Leadership Changes

McCann Worldgroup has appointed new leaders in North America, Asia-Pacific and Japan. Alex Lubar, president of McCann Worldgroup Asia-Pacific since 2019, has been named president of the McCann advertising agency network in North America. Ghassan Harfouche, group CEO of the Middle East Communications Network (will now oversee APAC as well. Ji Watson CFO of McCann Worldgroup Apac and representative director of McCann Worldgroup Japan, will take on the additional role of CEO of McCann Worldgroup Japan.


2. P&G Names Shailesh Jejurikar as Global COO

The Procter & Gamble Company (P&G) has elevated Shailesh Jejurikar as the Global Chief Operating Officer (COO).  As reported by The Times of India, he is the first Indian to be appointed as the COO of the company. He will take charge in October and report to Jon R Moeller, president and CEO, P&G. Currently, Jejurikar is the CEO of P&G’s fabric and home care sector.


3. Smriti Sekhsaria has moved to Moët Hennessy as Marketing Head

Smriti Sekhsaria, formerly head – growth and partnerships, Starbucks has moved to Moët Hennessy as marketing head. Sekhsaria will handle the spirits and champagne categories at the brand. As reported by campaign India, she moves after an eight-year stint at Starbucks.  


4. Priyanka Mehra, CMO, Havas Group Quits

Priyanka Mehra, the chief marketing officer of Havas Group India, has quit the organisation. As per The Economic Times, she was elevated to the role of CMO in April. Mehra was associated with the company for nearly three years. Mehra joined Havas Group India in 2018 as the director marketing and communications.


5. upGrad Appoints Abdul Wajid Shaikh as Head of Performance Marketing, India

upGrad has appointed Abdul Wajid Shaikh as the head of performance marketing for India. As part of his new role at upGrad, Shaikh will be driving end-to-end performance marketing across digital platforms. According to The Economic Times, he will also work towards streamlining and automation of the entire performance marketing processes to facilitate profitability.
