1. WhatsApp to Add Multi-Device Support

WhatsApp will soon let consumers use the app simultaneously on multiple devices. The multi-device support will be able to connect up to four devices to one account. As reported by The Verge, WhatsApp also has an iPad app in development and the multi-device support will make WhatsApp on iPad a possibility.

2. Adobe Names David Wadhwani as EVP & CBO, Digital Media

Adobe has named David Wadhwani as executive vice president and chief business officer, Digital Media. In this role, Wadhwani will be responsible for Adobe’s global digital media business across Adobe Creative Cloud and Adobe Document Cloud, including all product marketing, strategic partnerships, customer support and go-to-market across geographies, working closely with the digital media product organizations. As noted by exchange4media, he previously served as senior vice president and general manager of Adobe’s Digital Media business from 2010 to 2015.

3. WFA to Conduct First Global Ad Industry Inclusion Census

The World Federation of Advertisers (WFA) will be conducting its first global ad industry inclusion census. As per campaign India, it is aimed at providing “hard data” on the workforce, including diversity, equity and inclusion, around the world. An online questionnaire will go live between 21 June and 2 July 2021 and the results will be compiled and analysed by Kantar. They will be published by Campaign’s global network of editions later in the year.

4. IBF Appoints Siddharth Jain as Secretary General

Indian Broadcasting Foundation has appointed Siddharth Jain as its Secretary General, reports exchange4media. Siddharth was working with Turner International India Pvt. Ltd. as SVP & Managing Director – South Asia until 30 April 2021. IBF is also being renamed as Indian Broadcasting & Digital Foundation (IBDF), as it expands to cover digital platforms to bring all OTT players under one roof. 

5. MyGlamm Appoints Apratim Majumdar as CMO

MyGlamm has appointed Apratim Majumder as the chief marketing officer. As reported by The Economic Times, he will oversee the planning, development and execution of an organization’s marketing and advertising initiatives. Majumder was formerly the category head, Naturals at Unilever.
