1. CRISIL: Indian M&E ad revenue to grow by 14%
Advertisement (ad) revenue, which accounts for 55% of the sector’s revenue, will grow by 14% given its strong correlation with economic activity. Also, the general elections expected in mid-2024 will trigger an increase in ad spend in the last quarter of next fiscal.

2. RedSeer: India’s Digital ad spends to reach $21 bn by 2028
A recent report by RedSeer Strategy Consultants estimates digital ad spends in India to become 2.5X in next 5 years to USD 21 billion, growing at CAGR of 19-21%.

3. MIB grants licenses to two new MSOs
The Ministry of Information and Broadcasting (MIB) granted two new licenses to Multi-System Operators (MSOs), SLJ Fiber Networks Pvt. Ltd and Deepanshu Cable Network taking the total number of registered MSOs stands to 1,748.
