1. Jeff Bezos To Step Down as Chief Executive, Amazon

Amazon founder Jeff Bezos will be stepping down as chief executive of the e-commerce giant. He will become executive chairman, a move he said would give him “time and energy” to focus on his other ventures. As per BBC, he will be replaced by Andy Jassy, who currently leads Amazon’s cloud computing business. The change will take place in the second half of 2021.

2. Alphabet Ad Revenue Jumps by 22%

Google parent company Alphabet released Q4 results, showing strong growth in its core advertising business. Advertising revenue across Google and its streaming video service YouTube increased by 22% in Q4 to $46.2 billion. As reported by campaign India, this helped to lift Alphabet revenue by 23% in Q4 to $56.9 billion, compared to $46.07 billion in the corresponding period last year. Its APAC revenue grew by 32% in the fourth quarter to top $9.9 billion, compared to $7.48 billion for the same quarter last year. Elsewhere, US revenue grew 23%, Other Americas 14% and EMEA by 19%.

3. Havas Group India Partners with Conran Design, Opens Office in Mumbai

Havas Group India has announced that it is strengthening its operation in India with a strategic joint-venture with Conran Design Group. As part of the joint-venture, Conran Design Group opens its third global office in Mumbai after London and New York. As per exchange4media, Conran Design Group Mumbai, with a dedicated team of 15 specialists, will work to help clients realise the value of meaningful design.


4. Vim Forays into Machine Dishwashing Segment

Vim by Hindustan Unilever announced its foray into the machine dishwash segment with the launch of Vim Matic. According to afaqs, Vim Matic machine dishwasher range includes Detergent Powder, Rinse Aid, Salt and an All-In-One Tablet. It is available for purchase on Amazon.
