1. Mahashay Dharampal Gulati, Owner, CEO and Brand Ambassador MDH Spices Passes Away

‘Mahashay’ Dharampal Gulati, the owner and CEO of the iconic spice masala brand MDH (Mahashian Di Hatti), passed away today at the age of 98. Known as the ”The king of spices”, Dharampal Gulati built MDH as one of India’s leading spices brands. From a small shop in Karol Bagh, he officially established the company in 1959. MDH launched its first television ad in 1984 featuring Dharampal Gulati. The ad also featured veteran actors Shafi Inamdar and Neena Gupta.

2. BATA Brands Elevates Sandeep Kataria As Globa CEO

The Bata Shoe Organization has appointed Sandeep Kataria as Global CEO, effective immediately. As per exchange4media, Kataria is the first Indian to be elevated to this global role of the footwear major. He takes over from Alexis Nasard who is stepping down after almost five years in the role.

Integral Ad Science (IAS), has appointed Mehul Desai as country head, India, to lead product innovation and business operations locally. After 19 years, Radio Mirchi has rebranded itself as ‘Mirchi’ – a music and entertainment company. As per The Economic Times, the change in the branding reflects Mirchi’s hyperlocal, multi-format and multi-platform content and solutions capabilities that cut across digital, Live and FM. The brand will now focus on creating diverse avenues and content to be a part of their consumer’s life, regardless of the platform of consumption, be it radio, digital, or live events.
