1. Kent RO Withdraws Ads Claiming Protection From Covid

Kent RO has withdrawn allegedly misleading advertisements featuring actress Hema Malini which claimed that its water purifier systems disinfected Covid-19 virus from daily personal use items and fruit and vegetables. According to The Economic Times, the Advertising Standards Council of India (ASCI) had issued a notice to Kent RO to substantiate its claims. However, instead of trying to substantiate the serious claims made in their advertisements, Kent RO has decided to withdraw their ads.

2. Jio and RF ESA Bag Title Rights For Women’s T20 Challenge

Jio and Reliance Foundation Education and Sports For All (RF ESA) have bagged the title rights for the upcoming Women’s T20 Challenge. As reported by campaign India, the tournament is an extension of the Indian Premier League (IPL). It will be played at Sharjah between three franchises led by Harmanpreet Kaur, Smriti Mandhana and Mithali Raj, starting from 4 November 2020.
