1. ITC Limited To Acquire Sunrise Foods

FMCG major, ITC Limited is all set to acquire 100% of the equity share capital of Kolkata based packaged spice makers, Sunrise Foods. Sunrise Foods is a seventy-year-old brand that dominates the market in the packaged spices category in eastern India.As per BloombergQuint, this move by ITC is an attempt to strengthen its food business and compete with rivals such as Hindustan Unilever, Pepsico and Britannia.

Zomato has elevated Mohit Gupta as its co-founder. The CEO of the food delivery platform now becomes its fourth co-founder. Gupta has been with Zomato since the last two years and as per exchange4media, the platform touched the 40 million monthly order volume under his leadership.

FRSH is a joint venture with Scentials World — a company focusing on celebrity-led grooming brands. The brand will also be rolling out deodorants, body wipes and perfumes in the near future. As noted by CNBC, FRSH will first be launched online before being available at stores.

Disney+ Hotstar has roped in MakeMyTrip’s Anant Patel as its Marketing Director. According to exchange4media, he takes over as head of digital marketing at the OTT platform after a four-year stint with MakeMyTrip where his last position was as Associate Director, Marketing.
