1. Caesar Sengupta Quits Google

Caesar Sengupta, Vice President and General Manager, Payments and Next Billion Users initiative at Google, is leaving the company after a 15-year stint. Announcing his resignation in a LinkedIn post, Sengupta said that he was leaving Google to start a “new mission.” As reported by The Economic Times, Sengupta led the company’s payments plans, including Google Pay, during his tenure at Google.

2. MXPlayer Launches MX VDesi

MXPlayer has launched MX VDesi, a platform which will host international shows dubbed in local Indian languages such as Hindi, Tamil and Telugu. According to afaqs, the shows on the platform will include popular Turkish, Korean, Japanese, French, Spanish and English dramas. Starting 24 March 2021, MX VDesi will be dropping new shows every Wednesday.

Ogilvy Mumbai’s ad film for Hindustan Unilever (HUL) titled ‘The Shower’ has bagged an award at the prestigious 67th National Film Awards. The work was declared ‘Best Promotional Film’ in the ‘Non-Feature Films’ category of the show. Directed by Bauddhayan Mukherji, the film was entered by his production house, Little Lamb Films.

OLX People has appointed Olive Sen as the Head of Product and Marketing. He was previously the Director for Strategy & Growth at OLX People and is elevated to this new position with immediate effect. In his new role, Olive will lead the Product, Marketing & Analytics teams for OLX People and Waah Jobs, the blue-collar jobs marketplace in India.

5. IIFL Securities Appoints Manav Verma as CMO

IIFL Securities has appointed Manav Verma as its Chief Marketing Officer, as reported by exchange4media. Manav Verma was previously working as the head of marketing and sales development at DHL Smart Trucking, Vice President Marketing at Angel Broking and led senior marketing positions at Bharti Airtel, Reliance Jio, Zee Group, BenQ India.
