1. Cannes Lions & WARC Launch ‘The Effectiveness Code’

Cannes Lions and WARC have unveiled ‘The Effectiveness Code’, a white paper presenting the results of a new study carried out by James Hurman and Peter Field, as reported by campaign India.  Marketers seeking to maximise the impact of their creative work can now draw on a six-stage framework outlined in the report. Based on the analysis of nearly 5,000 case studies, it introduces the ‘Creative Effectiveness Ladder’, a schematic that establishes the levels of impact that creative marketing produces.


2. GroupM Unveils Global Mid-Year Media Forecast

GroupM has released its Global Mid-Year Media Forecast that details how COVID sharply transformed the global advertising economy from a 6.2% growth rate in 2019 to a double digit decline this year. The major factor that played a role in this decline is the coronavirus and its resulting lockdown, which has put the economy on hold, until a vaccine/cure is found. 3. Former GSK Design Director Launches Design Consultancy

Former global design director of GSK Consumer Healthcare, Kishaloy Basu, has announced the launch of his design agency, Fruits Design. As per campaign India, Fruits Design is based in Delhi and has a presence across Singapore and UK. It specialises in delivering brand growth through design thinking customised to a brand’s ambition, vision and purpose.  Prior to GSK, Basu was with J Walter Thompson as vice president and senior creative director.


4. Satya Paul Appoints Rajesh Pratap Singh As Chief Creative Director

Design label, Satya Paul has announced the appointment of Rajesh Pratap Singh as the chief creative director for the brand. As noted by The Economic Times, in his new role, Singh will oversee artistic direction for all Satya Paul collections for women and men and present his first in Fall/Winter 2020-21.
