1. Twitter Reports Ad Revenue of $1.05 Billion

Twitter Inc has reported a total advertising revenue of $1.05 billion, up 87% from the year-ago quarter. As per The Economic Times, the company’s total revenue, which also includes revenue the company earns from data licensing, rose 74% year-over-year to $1.19 billion. Twitter also reported 206 million monetizable daily active users (mDAU), its term for users who are served advertising, for the second quarter ended 30 June 2021.


2. Snap Registers 116% Growth in Revenue

Snap has registered 116% growth in revenue at $982 million in Q2 2021, compared to the previous year. Net loss dropped 53% to $152 million in Q2 2021. As per exchange4media, adjusted EBITDA improved 223% to $117 million in Q2 2021. In Q2, Snap had 293 million Daily Active Users (DAUs), an increase of 55 million, or 23%, year-over-year.


3. Publicis Groupe Reports 17.1% Jump in Revenue

Publicis Groupe has reported a 17.1% jump in its global revenues, according to exchange4media. The global revenues were 9.7% up across the first six months of 2021. The US, Asia and Europe remained among the strong markets. The US operation was up 15.2%, Asia was up 13.6% and Europe up 23% in Q2.


4. Grey London Appoints New Joint MD

Grey London has appointed Nathan Gainford and Jonny Tennant-Price to serve as joint managing directors. Tennant-Price joins the agency from Droga5 London where he was group account director, while Gainford has been promoted from his previous role as managing partner at Grey. As per campaign UK, both of them will report to Grey’s president and chief creative officer Laura Jordan Bambach.


5. KKR Appoints Brinda Dey as CMO

Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) has appointed Brinda Dey as Chief Marketing Officer (CMO), KKR & Knight Riders Global Franchises. As CMO, she will be responsible for all aspects of Marketing – Brand, Content, Digital, Licensing & Merchandising, for all initiatives in IPL, Caribbean Premier League and USA Cricket. Prior to KKR, she was Head of Marketing and Creative Development at Red Chillies Entertainments for over 5.5 years.
