1. Anupriya Acharya Elected As President of AAAI

Anupriya Acharya, CEO, Publicis Groupe South Asia, has taken charge of the Advertising Agencies Association of India (AAAI) after being elected as president for the year 2020-21. She takes over from Ashish Bhasin, CEO, APAC and chairman, India, Dentsu Aegis Network.  As per campaign India, Prasanth Kumar, CEO, GroupM South Asia, has been elected vice-president of the association.


2. Amazon India Adds Kannada, Malayalam, Tamil and Telugu To Shopping Site

Amazon India announced that it will now be available in four new languages as it pushes to expand e-commerce access to the next 200 – 300 million shoppers in the country. As reported by livemint, Amazon.in will be available to users in Kannada, Malayalam, Tamil and Telugu, across its shopping app and desktop sites. This is in addition to the two languages—Hindi and English—that are already available to users in India.

3. Suni Kataria Elected As Chairman Of Indian Society of Advertisers

Sunil Kataria, CEO, India and SAARC, Godrej Consumer Products, has been elected as chairman of The Indian Society of Advertisers. The decision to elect Kataria as chairman was made when the executive council of the Indian Society of Advertisers (ISA) met yesterday. As per campaign India, this is the fifth consecutive term for Kataria. 

4. Madison Media Retain Media Mandate of McDonald’s (West & South India)

Madison Media has retained the media mandate of McDonald’s (West and South India).  As reported by campaign India, the account has been with the agency since 2004 and McDonald’s has renewed the agreement for another three years adding digital to Madison’s mandate. The agency will now handle traditional and digital media planning, buying and strategy, including offline media and digital OTT.
