1. Amazon Opens First Physical Clothing Store

Amazon has opened its first bricks-and-mortar shop in Los Angeles. As per livemint, the move to expand its retail presence with a physical clothing store comes as authorities and competitors raise warnings over Amazon accumulating “too much control” over the market. Amazon said that its algorithms will produce tailored, real-time recommendations for each customer.

2. Instagram Launches ‘Subscription’ Service
Instagram is launching trials of a subscription service that will allow users to pay for extra content from creators. The new feature will allow creators to unlock a subscribe button on their Instagram profile and set a monthly pricing that will allow their most engaged followers to access exclusive content and benefits. Instagram also stated that until 2023, it will not charge creators any fees for these subscriptions.

3. M/SIX Promotes Jack Swayne to Global CEO
Media agency M/SIX, a joint venture with The&Partnership and WPP, has promoted Jack Swayne as global chief executive officer. In his new role, Swayne will be responsible for leading the global agency on a day-to-day basis. Prior to this, he was CEO of M/SIX UK and EMEA.

Tata Sky has appointed Ankur Ogra as head of growth for Tata Sky Binge OTT. In his new role, he will be responsible for launching and spearheading the brand. Ankur joins Tata Sky after a 6 year long stint with blinkit (previously Grofers).

Rediffusion has won the creative account of Nippon India Mutual Fund. The business will be handled out of the agency’s Mumbai office. The account was won following a multi-agency pitch.
