1. IPG Mergers FCB Health and McCann Health

Interpublic Group has united its FCB Health and McCann Health networks under the new IPG Health banner. The realignment creates one of the agency’s most comprehensive and geographically expansive offerings. IPG Health will be led by former FCB Health Network chief Dana Maiman as CEO. As per campaign India, Maiman will report to Interpublic Group CEO Philippe Krakowsky.

2. Hero MotoCorp Appoints Ranjivjit Singh as CMO

Hero MotoCorp has appointed former CMO of Samsung Ranjivjit Singh as its Chief Marketing Officer. He is set to replace Gurinder Sandhu who stepped down recently as the CMO of Hero MotoCorp. As reported by exchange4media, Singh has also worked with Hindustan Lever, Ericsson Communications, Microsoft India and HP India.

3. Pinterest Bans Weight Loss Ads

Pinterest is banning all ads with weight loss language and imagery, including ads that idealize or denigrate certain body types. The digital pinboard site said it would also not allow ads with testimonials about weight loss or weight loss products, or ads referencing Body Mass Index (BMI) or similar indexes. According to The Economic Times, Pinterest has developed the policy with guidance from the National Eating Disorders Association.


4. The Hershey Company Appoints Geetika Mehta as MD, India

The Hershey Company has appointed Geetika Mehta, as Managing Director, India effective from 1 July 2021.  She will be reporting into Herjit Bhalla, VP, India and AEMEA at The Hershey Company who was recently elevated to a global role. In her previous role, Geetika was General Manager for the Home and Hygiene business at Hindustan Unilever.

GroupM India has appointed Karthik Shankar as Head of Digital Trading, GroupM India. In this role, Karthik will be responsible for leading digital trading and partnerships for GroupM India. As per afaqs, Karthik will be based out of Bangalore and will report to Sidharth Parashar.
