1. Arvinder Gujral Quits Twitter

Twitter Managing Director, SE Asia, & Senior Director-Business Development, APAC, Arvinder Gujral has quit the company after an eight-year stint. As per exchange4media, he had joined Twitter in 2013 as Senior Director-Business Development Asia Pacific. He was also the founding member of Twitter India in 2013 where he helped set up India operations which today has three offices.


2. Reliance Retail to Buy Subway India

Reliance Retail (RIL) is in talks to buy Subway India for $200-250 million. This comes as the restaurant chain is undergoing a restructuring process under chief executive John Chidsey and is looking to cut costs and global headcount as sales take a hit. RIL has forayed into a range of segments from grocery, e-pharmacy, payments to fashion and furniture. As per The Economic Times, if the talks are successful then RIL will gain the network of approximately 600 Subway stores across the country.

Dentsu Webchutney has won the social media mandate for ACKO General Insurance, digital insurance policy providers. The account was won following a multi-agency pitch. Dentsu Webchutney comes in with a specific goal to grow ACKO’s place in the market, with an always-on social excellence approach.


4. Panasonic India Names Manish Sharma Chairman & President

Panasonic Corporation has elevated Manish Sharma to the position of Chairman and President of Panasonic India. Sharma will lead the Panasonic Operational Excellence India, and Panasonic India Appliances Company, Lifestyle Updates Business Division.
