1. Vodafone Idea Launches Digital Payment Service
Vodafone Idea has launched a digital payments service using which its prepaid and postpaid customers can pay bills and recharge. The service, called ‘the virtual agent VIC’ will enable transactions across all gateways, or Unified Payments Interface (UPI). As per livemint, the digital service will also allow payments and recharges through WhatsApp, and will be available on all the company’s digital assets.

2. Twitter Tests Way to Enable Watching YouTube Videos on the App
Twitter is testing a way to let you watch YouTube videos right from your timeline. This means you won’t be sent away from Twitter, which will make it easier to watch a video and then keep on scrolling the app if want. As per The Verge, this current test on iOS arrives alongside two others announced last week that are intended to improve sharing and viewing media on the social network.

3. NFL Partners with Amazon, CBS, ESPN/ABC & FOX
The National Football League has signed long-term agreements with media partners Amazon, CBS, ESPN/ABC, FOX, and NBC for the distribution of NFL games. The deals are cumulatively valued at a whopping $113 billion, as noted by exchange4media. With these agreements, the NFL has expanded its digital footprint to reach a broader audience while maintaining its commitment to keep all NFL games on over-the-air television. The new agreements will begin with the 2023 season and run through the 2033 season.

4. TikTok Makes Personalised Ads Mandatory for Users
TikTok has announced to make it mandatory for users to see personalised ads from 15 April 2021. According to The Economic Times, the company will now show ads in the app, based on users’ content preferences. The change in TikTok’s privacy settings reflects the way ads already operate on many social media sites, including Twitter, Facebook and Instagram.

5. Enormous Brands Awarded with Creative Mandate for Rapido
Enormous Brands has been awarded with the creative mandate for bike and taxi platform, Rapido. As part of the mandate, Enormous Brands will be responsible for handling the brand’s campaigns. As per campaign India, the account was won following a multi-agency pitch and will be managed by the agency’s Gurgaon office.
