Omnicom Media Group’s PHD has roped in Monaz Todywalla as its new Chief Executive Officer for India. Prior to joining PHD India, Monaz held the role of Vice President of Growth & Strategy at Wavemaker India. As reported by exchange4media, Monaz comes with close to two decades of experience in the field of media, marketing and communications, across industries such as FMCG, Telecom, BFSI, Retail and Confectionary.


2. Google Removes Paytm From Play Store

Google has removed Paytm from Play Store for ‘violating its gambling policies’, as noted by TechCrunch. Paytm, which competes with Google Pay in India, promotes fantasy sports service within its app, reportedly violating Play Store’s policies. Google Play Store prohibits online casinos and other unregulated gambling apps that facilitate sports betting in India. Paytm’s fantasy sports service, called ‘Paytm First Games’ has also been pulled from the Play Store.

Disney+Hotstar has appointed Rasika Tognatta as VP – marketing, lead for its premium & kids section. As per afaqs, Rasika joins the company after working as the director – marketing at Turner International (South Asia network channels – Cartoon Network, Pogo, HBO & WB) for more than 4 years. Prior to that, Tognatta was with Turner International India for around 6 years.

22feet Tribal Worldwide has appointed Amrit Panigrahi to lead its transformation consulting and technology practice. Panigrahi will work closely with Preetham Venkky, president, 22feet Tribal Worldwide and CDO, DDB Mudra Group. He moves from KPMG where he was assistant manager, digital transformation.
