1. Luke Kang Named President, The Walt Disney Company

Luke Kang has been appointed President of The Walt Disney Company in Asia Pacific. He will report to Rebecca Campbel, Chairman, International Operations and Direct-to-Consumer. In his new role, he will helm the company’s business in Australia/New Zealand, Greater China, Japan, Korea and Southeast Asia. Meanwhile, Campbell stated that the India Head will be named in early 2021. She announced that in the interim, K Madhavan, Head of Star and Sunil Ryan, Head of Disney+ Hotstar India will report to her.


2. Burger King India Appoints Kapil Grover as Chief Digital Officer

Burger King India has appointed Kapil Grover as Chief Digital Officer. Prior to joining Burger King India, Grover was associated with Jubilant FoodWorks, which operates Domino’s Pizza, as Chief Marketing Officer. According to exchange4media, this is Grover’s second stint with Burger King.


3. Anand Siva & Nikita Bhargav Launch ‘Nittygritti’

Anand Siva, ex-principal consultant, Kantar, and Nikita Bhargav, formerly category marketing manager, Amazon, have joined hands to launch Nittygritti. The company was conceived during the lockdown as the duo looked to enhance the online presence of brands.  As per campaign India, Nittygritti is a tech company aimed at sellers who use platforms such as Amazon. It audits, analyses and changes content for catalogues on Amazon to capture the interest of audience.


4. MobiKwik Appoints Siddharth Dhamija as CEO, Zaakpay

MobiKwik has appointed Siddharth Dhamija as CEO of Zaakpay. As reported by exchange4media, Zaakpay is building its leadership team ahead of its IPO campaign and this is the second CXO appointment in the last 3 months. Siddharth comes to Zaakpay with 23 years of experience with 5 years in Payments. In his most recent role, he led the Enterprise Business at PayPal India.

5. Tonic Worldwide Bags Social Media Mandate for Warner Music India

Following a multi-agency pitch, Tonic Worldwide has bagged the social media mandate for Warner Music India. This follows Warner Music Group’s expansion plans in the country. The account will be handled from the Tonic Worldwide’s Mumbai office. As reported by exchange4media, the agency will also help Warner Music India with digital strategy and execution to strengthen brand recall and build a strong community of digital followers.
