Walmart To Invest $1.2 billion In Flipkart

Flipkart Group has closed an additional $1.2 billion equity round to support continued development of its eCommerce marketplace as India emerges from the Covid-19 crisis. The investment is led by Walmart, Flipkart Group’s majority owner, along with a group of existing shareholders and values the company at $24.9 billion post-money. As per exchange4media, it will be funded in two tranches over the remainder of the fiscal year.

Unilever’s R&D team will work with Oyo to co-create standard operating procedures (SOP) for cleaning to maximise the positive effects of the FMCG company’s products. As per livemint, the partnership will begin in India and then go live across Indonesia, Vietnam, the US, LATAM and Europe. Partners With upGrad has entered into a partnership with upGrad Enterprise to make its foray into the educational technology (edutech) segment. As reported by livemint, the company aims to diversify its portfolio beyond travel. As per a company statement, this partnership shall enable its corporate clients to deliver advance learning and skill development for their employees.
