1. Pradeep Dwivedi Named IAA VP & Area Director, APAC

Eros CEO Pradeep Dwivedi has been elected as the Vice President and Area Director for International Advertising Association (IAA) for the APAC region. Currently, he also holds the position of the Honorary Treasurer and Director of IAA, India Chapter. According to exchange4media, Dwivedi also serves as the Chairperson of IMC Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Entertainment, Media and Sports Committee) and Managing Committee Member of the Advertising Club of India.

Amazon is all set to launch an online pharmacy in Bengaluru. As per livemint, the service, “Amazon Pharmacy”, will offer both over-the-counter and prescription-based drugs, basic health devices and traditional Indian herbal medicines. Amazon aims to widen its reach in a key growth market amid competition from rivals as Flipkart and Jiomart.

3. Twitch Appoints Sandeep Suvarna As Head of Marketing APAC

Streaming service, Twitch has appointed Sandeep Suvarna as Head of Marketing in Asia Pacific, as reported by brandinginasia. At Twitch, Suvarna will oversee marketing strategies for APAC audiences and will build marketing campaigns in the region. He joins from FOX Networks Group where he was VP Marketing APAC – Digital Streaming Services.


4. Google Launches New Booking Features

Google has launched a suite of new booking features to its flight, hotel, and trip search tools in order to help untangle the shifting rules of travel amid a pandemic. Consumers will also get real-time data on the number of Covid-19 cases in an area along with how many flights and hotels have resumed service. As noted by livemint, no other major travel provider is currently displaying this level of detail.
