1. Disney Star: Aims 500mn viewership for IPL’23
As the broadcaster begins its second IPL cycle having delivered a reach of 400+ million in past editions, Disney Star aims to reach a viewership of 500 million in the upcoming edition.

2. PVR-Inox merger deal gets NCLT approval
The Bombay Bench of the National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT) has approved the merger between multiplex chains PVR Limited and Inox Leisure. The merged entity will be known as PVR-Inox, and will operate over 1,500 screens across 109 cities.

Global advertising company, Hakuhodo has acquired a majority stake in the brand and entertainment agency group, MA&TH (Marching Ants and Trigger Happy) Entertainment Network. MA&TH is headquartered in Mumbai and led by CEO Amit Chandrra.

4. Shashi Sinha’s tenure as ASCI board member ends
Shashi Sinha’s tenure as Advertising Standards Council of India (ASCI) Board member has come to an end. Sinha, who is the Chief Executive Officer at IPG Mediabrands India, had been associated with the advertising body for 20 years.

5. Disney names former Nike CEO Mike Parker as next chairman
Disney has named board member Mark Parker, Nike’s executive chairman, as its new chairman of the board. Parker’s appointment is effective following Disney’s upcoming annual meeting of shareholders, which usually takes place in March.
