1. Balaji Telefilms Q3 Revenue Up by 35%

Balaji Telefilms’ consolidated revenue grew 35% QoQ to Rs 105.5 crore for the quarter ended 31 December 2020. The revenue stood at Rs 78.3 crore in the trailing quarter ended 30 September 2020. As reported by exchange4media, Balaji’s SVOD service, ALTBalaji added the highest ever subscribers with 1.6 million subscriptions during the quarter, due to an increase in marketing spend on the back of new show releases.

Amazon has introduced a feature that lets users search in their own languages on the app. So far, the feature is available in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu languages. As noted by afaqs, Amazon aims to tackle the gap in the overall shopping experience by launching this feature.

3. Hungama Music Forays into Original Content

Hungama Music has forayed into original podcast creation and distribution. The platform plans to launch over 30 new podcasts in the next 1 year, across genres like celebrity interviews, music, fashion, lifestyle, entertainment news and more. As per exchange4media, it will work with Indian and international content creators to produce premium podcasts for a global audience.
