1. Airbnb launches talent directory for ex-employees to find work

Airbnb CEO and Co-Founder Brian Chesky has planned to launch a public-facing website to help 1900 employees (who have been asked to leave last week) find new jobs, according to Campaign India. The talent directory gives ex-teammates the opportunity to upload profiles, resumes and work samples for any potential employers to see. The directory is one of several ways Airbnb is helping former staff.

2. Spotify partners with Saregama to strengthen its music library

Spotify has partnered with Indian music label Saregama to bring more than 100,000 retro and new age songs in over 2 dozen languages to users in India, as reported by TechCrunch. Spotify will get access to more than 100,000 music tracks across various genres like film, Carnatic, Hindustani classical and devotional music in over 25 languages. The announcement comes after Spotify inked a similar deal with Indian music label Shemaroo to bring an additional 25,000 songs on the same.

3. Google extends its work-from-home policy till 2020 end

Google has extended its work-from-home policy for the rest of 2020, as seen on The Verge. After previously telling employees that they would be working remotely until June 1st, CEO Sundar Pichai has told employees that they’ll likely work from home until the end of the year. The decision comes after Facebook made a similar announcement to let its employees work remotely till the end of 2020 as the company doesn’t expect to reopen most offices before July 6.

4. Navratna Oil signs Salman Khan as new brand ambassador

Navratna Oil, from Emami Limited, has roped in Bollywood actor Salman Khan as its latest brand ambassador, as seen on Exchange4media. It has already launched its latest ad spot titled ‘Raahat Raja Ki Champi’. The brand expects the collaboration will drive its messaging from the cities to deeper pockets of the country. Khan joins other stars like Amitabh Bachchan and Shah Rukh Khan who have associated with the brand in the past.

5. Monk Media Network promotes Tanya Mathana as COO

Communications and media agency Monk Media Network elevated Tanya Mathana as the COO of the agency from AVP Brand Strategy. In her capacity as the new COO, her key responsibilities will also include overseeing new venture strategy and company administration.
