1. OMD Worldwide Promotes George Manas as CEO
Omnicom Media Group’s OMD Worldwide has promoted George Manas as its chief executive officer. As reported by campaign India, Manas was president and chief media officer, OMD USA, before the elevation. He takes over from Florian Adamski, who was elevated as CEO of Omnicom Media Group.

2. MullenLowe Lintas Launches Content Business Unit
MullenLowe Lintas Group has launched a content business unit under the Lintas C:EX (Lintas Creative Executions) brand. The unit called Lintas C:EX Entertainment will aim to create content and IPs that entertain and engage. As per campaign India, Yogesh Manwani has been appointed as president to lead the unit. He moves from Applause Entertainment where he was head – revenue and marketing.

3. VMLY&R Appoints Symon Hammacott as CEO, Asia
VMLY&R has appointed Symon Hammacott as chief experience officer in Asia. To be based in Singapore, Hammacott was regional head of experience at Publicis Sapient, prior to this. In this new role, Hammacott will be tasked with identifying and investing in new technologies and partnerships to reinforce and develop VMLY&R’s CX portfolio. As noted by campaign India, he will also participate in Team WPP pitches and proposals as well as drive culture initiatives and talent development.

4. Airbnb Announces New Features
Airbnb has announced a slew of new features including a translation tool and expanded insurance for hosts. The translation engine will be able to translate listing descriptions and reviews in 60 languages and is expected to launch later this year. According to livemint, the features will help Airbnb capitalise on a pandemic-driven shift in consumer preference towards non-urban destinations and alternative accommodations.
