Nisaba Godrej To Be Godrej Consumer Products MD & CEO As Vivek Gambhir Steps Down

Godrej Consumer Products Limited (GCPL) has announced changes to its leadership team, effective 1 July 2020. As per livemint, Nisaba Godrej, currently the Executive Chairperson of the company, will take on the additional role of Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer. Vivek Gambhir, GCPL’s current Managing Director and CEO, has resigned for personal reasons and will step down as Managing Director and CEO on 30 June 2020.


Mcdonald’s Promotes Alistair Macrow To Global CMO

McDonald’s has promoted Alistair Macrow to global CMO, according to Adweek. Macrow fills a role that has been empty for nearly a year after the departure of Silvia Lagnado last July. He takes over from Colin Mitchell, svp of global marketing, who has stepped down after four years in the role to pursue new opportunities. Macrow was previously the CMO of the company’s international business. In his new position, he will be in charge of marketing around the world by overseeing the company’s global menu strategy, global brand, global insights and global marketing enablement.


Twitter Rolls Out ‘Fleets’

Twitter has rolled out a new feature called ‘Fleets’. Similar to Instagram Stories, the service will users to put up ‘fleeting thoughts’ which disappear after 24 hours.  As per Campaign India, the social media network aims to reach out to people who do not tweet because they feel they are public, permanent, and display the number of retweets and likes. India is the third market globally after Brazil and Italy where Twitter is rolling out this feature to test.


MSL Acquires PR Mandate For McDonald’s North and East India

MSL has acquired the PR mandate for McDonald’s North and East India regions after a competitive agency review, as noted by exchange4media. The agency will be responsible for covering consumer and corporate PR along with influencer engagement. The mandate was earlier handled by APCO Worldwide while McDonald’s South and West regions still remain with Avian WE.


Indigo Consulting Elevates Jose Leon As COO

Indigo Consulting has elevated Jose Leon as chief operating officer. Prior to this, Leon was president at Indigo Consulting. As per Campaign India, he had joined the agency in 2017 from Adobe. He will continue reporting to Rajesh Ghatge, CEO, Indigo Consulting.
