1. ShareChat to Acquire MX TakaTak in $700 million Cash-and-Stock Deal

The parent company of ShareChat India is set to acquire local rival MX TakaTak, in an around $700 million deal, reports livemint. After TikTok was banned in 2020, ShareChat’s parent entity, Mohalla Tech, launched a similar short-video sharing app named Moj. With this acquisition, ShareChat’s parent will now have two short-video apps in its portfolio.

Bharti Airtel has launched a new video streaming service – Airtel Xstream Premium.
