IPG announced that Team Dynamic has been named as the integrated communications partner for BMW India. Team Dynamic is a bespoke IPG solution created for BMW India, with regional resources drawn from across the IPG portfolio. As noted by The Economic Times, the mandate includes lead creative, digital services and studio production.


2. Netflix India Appoints Shagun Seda as Director of Creative Marketing

Netflix India has appointed Shagun Seda as director of creative marketing. She joins from DDB Mudra Group where she was creative head – West. As reported by campaign India, Shagun has previously also worked with MullenLowe Lintas Group and TBWA\ India.

3. Facebook to develop “topic exclusion controls” to Help Advertisers Tackle Harmful Content

Facebook announced that it would soon start developing “topic exclusion controls” on its platform to give advertisers greater ability to weed out certain types of content from appearing alongside their ads. This comes after companies including Coca-Cola and Starbucks boycotted Facebook in July for not doing enough to curb hate speech on its site. As per The Economic Times, Facebook said that the controls would help advertisers define how their ads show on Facebook News Feed, adding that it would start testing out the controls with a small group of advertisers.


4. Discovery Communications India Appoints Azmat Jagmag as Head of Marketing & Corporate Communications

Discovery Communications India has appointed Azmat Jagmag as the Head of Marketing and Corporate Communications. As a part of her profile, Azmat will lead the Marketing and Communications teams across the network including 14 Linear Channels and OTT brand discovery+ for India. According to exchange4media, she will be based in Mumbai and report to the company managing director, South Asia- Megha Tata.


5. Too Yumm! Awards Digital Mandate to Kinnect

Snacking brand, Too Yumm! has awarded its digital media mandate to Kinnect. As reported by The Economic Times, the account was won following a multi-agency pitch. Kinnect will manage the brand’s social media marketing, online reputation management, and influencer outreach requirements. Additionally, Kinnect will be responsible for developing and delivering a robust strategy to execute campaigns across digital channels.
