1.WFA plans to standardize cross-media measurement

World Federation of Advertisers (WFA) is taking steps to standardize measurement across media as reported by The Drum. The newly formed Cross Media Working Group is led by the likes of Unilever and Mastercard, with the goal to speed up the adoption of a consistent, global measurement solution without devising a separate solution for each market.

2. TikTok opts out of political advertising

Tiktok has decided not to allow political advertising of any kind. This includes election related ads, advocacy ads or issue ads The Beijing-based app mentioned in a release that ‘the nature’ of political ads doesn’t fit its experience. 

3. Taboola and Outbrain announce a merger

After years of speculation, Taboola and Outbrain, the two largest content recommendation companies, have agreed to merge. This combined entity, is speculated, to pose as a ‘meaningful competitor’ to Facebook and Google for advertisers.

4. DB Digitial gets a new CEO

Dainik Bhaskar Corp Limited appoints Pathik Shah as the CEO for DB Digital. Prior to this, he was with Hike Messenger for almost seven years.
