1.            Unilever achieves gender balance across management globally
Unilever has announced that it has achieved gender balance in leadership roles across management for the first time, as reported by Campaign Asia. They did this a year ahead of its goal. So now the FMCG giant is run by 50 per cent women at management level, up from 38% in 2010. It also has a non-executive board made up of 45% women.

2.            Google cancels its 2020 I/O developer conference
Google has cancelled its biggest event of the year, the I/O developer conference, amid the ongoing coronavirus outbreak. Google I/O was due to take place between May 12th to 14th.

3.            Facebook India appoints Bipasha Chakrabarti as the new Communications Director
Meanwhile in India, Facebook has appointed Bipasha Chakrabarti as the new Communications Director. She will lead its corporate communications and public relations mandate in India and will report to Ajit Mohan.

4.            OkCupid India appoints Dentsu Webchutney for digital and creative
Dentsu Webchutney has won the digital and creative duties for the dating app, OkCupid India.

5.            Tata Consumer Products ropes in Taranjeet Kaur as Head of Media, Digital & PR
Taranjeet Kaur, former Head of Media & Digital at RB-Hygiene Home, has stepped down after a span of 2.5 years. She will join Tata Consumer Products as Head of Media, Digital and PR.
