1. Twitter posts $1.01bn in Q4 revenue
Twitter posted 1bn dollar in revenue for the fourth quarter due to strong advertising sales. This is the first time its revenues went past the billion dollar mark. However, its net income declined to 119 million dollars as against 255 million dollars for the same period last year, as reported by TechCrunch.

2. Government to impose jail term and fine under Drugs And Magic Remedies Act
Ministry of Health and Family Welfare has put out a draft amendment to the Drugs And Magic Remedies Act, 1954. It proposes a jail term of up to five years and a fine of up to Rs 50 lakh on advertisements for drugs and products promoting fair skin, sexual performance, brain capacity and so on.

3. Uber India’s Manish Lath Gupta moves on
Manisha Lath Gupta has stepped down as Uber India’s Marketing Head. Gupta joined Uber last March.

4. Nerolac calls for creative pitch
Kansai Nerolac Paints has called for a creative pitch according to Exchange4media. In the past they had a two-agency model. The incumbent agencies FCB Ulka and Publicis Worldwide India, are also participating.
