1.Panel formed to monitor government ads as directed by SC
A panel comprising former chief election commissioner OP Rawat, ad veteran Ramesh Narayan and former Prasar Bharati member AK Tandon, will look into the content and propriety of government ads to check their adherence to Supreme Court guidelines. This is after Supreme Court directed the central government to monitor the same.
2. Big Tree Entertainment narrows its losses, ups its topline

Big Tree Entertainment, the parent company of Bookmyshow has narrowed its net loss for financial year 2018-19 by almost 30 per cent, while its topline went up by more than 52% over the 12 month period ended March 31, 2019.  
3. Arnab Goswami elected president of NBF

Arnab Goswami, MD and Editor-in-Chief of Republic TV, has been elected as the new President of News Broadcasters Federation. The members also elected four vice-presidents including ITV Network’s Kartikeya Sharma and Shankar Bala of Fourth Dimension Media among others.
4. Fabindia’s Karan Kumar joins DLF

Karan Kumar, former Chief Brand & Marketing Officer of Fabindia has joined DLF as Senior VP, Marketing and CMO.
5. Netflix to put in Rs 3000 cr on Indian content

Netflix will spend 3000 crore rupees on Indian content in 2019 and 2020 as announced by its CEO Reed Hastings on his recent visit to India. A majority of this spend will be on original programming.
