1. HDFC Bank Named Most Valuable Brand

HDFC Bank continues to be the most valuable brand for the sixth time as per the 2019 WPP and Kantar’s BrandZ Top 75 Most Valuable Brands report. The total value of the top 75 brands increased to $228.2 billion, 6% higher than 2018. Among other brands that made it to the top are LIC, TCS, Airtel and State Bank of India.

2. Vicki Maguire Joins Havas London

Vicki Maguire, chief creative officer at Grey London, has quit the agency after a decade to take the same role at Havas London. She will join in Jan 2020. Meanwhile, Sarah Jenkins, former Chief Marketing Officer of Grey London, has joined Saatchi & Saatchi London as managing director.

3. Juul CEO Steps Down, Company Suspends Advertising

E-cigarette company, Juul’s CEO, Kevin Burns has stepped down and the company said it will stop all advertising in the US. Juul was in a recent controversy after a lung illness killed 7 and sickened more than 500 people. The U.S. Food and Drug Administration had earlier stated that Juul marketed its products as less risky than cigarettes without gaining prior approval.

4. Poonam Nikam Joins ByteDance 

Poonam Nikam has joined ByteDance, parent company of TikTok, as global manager, communications. Prior to this, she was general manager at Sony Music India.
