1.Disney to split its $2.2 bn media business between Omnicom and Publicis

The Walt Disney Co has awarded its 2.2 billion dollar global media review to Publicis Media and Omnicom Media Group, according to media reports. Publicis Media won the North America business for theme parks and the new Disney+ streaming service. It also got the Disney media business in Europe, Middle East, Africa, APAC and Latin America. Meanwhile Omnicom retained the planning and buying duties in the U.S. for Disney Studios.

2. Havas Creative India wins integrated communication mandate of Harman Kardon’s Infinity

Havas Creative India has won the integrated communication mandate for audio company Harman Kardon International’s brand Infinity. It will be responsible for creative strategy and execution, both on online and offline platforms.

3. Honor to foray India’s smart TV market

Chinese handset maker Honor is all set to enter India’s smart TV market in the first quarter of 2020. With this move it will take on the likes of Xiaomi, Lenovo-Motorola and TCL. According to an Economic Times report Honor will partner with ecommerce players for the same.

4. Grasim names Srishti Sawhney as the president and global brand head for its Pulp & Fibre Business

Grasim Industries has appointed Srishti Sawhney as the president and global brand head for its Pulp & Fibre Business. Her mandate will be to strengthen and enhance the communication and branding of the brand, Liva.
