1. ASCI upholds complaints against 344 misleading advertisements
The Advertisement Standards Council of India (ASCI) has upheld complaints against 344 misleading advertisements, including those of Dabur India, ITC, Parle, Amul and Nestle, for the months of August and September. Overall it investigated complaints against 564 advertisements of which 179 were promptly withdrawn after receiving communication from ASCI.
2. Reckitt Benckiser calls for a media pitch
Reckitt Benckiser has called for a media pitch, estimated to be worth 500 crore rupees. The pitch process that started a couple of weeks ago is part of the company’s annual global review. Its incumbent agency, Initiative of IPG Mediabrands, is believed to be contesting for it.
3. Amit Gujral joins JK Tyre & Industries 
Amit Gujral, former Corporate Marketing Officer of LG,     has joined JK Tyre & Industries as its Marketing Head (CMO) in India.
4. P&G India sets up a Rs 200 crore ‘Environmental Sustainability Fund’
Procter & Gamble India has set-up a 200 crore rupees ‘Environmental Sustainability Fund,’ to collaborate with external partners offering sustainable business solutions. It’s an extension of the company’s multi-million-dollar Innovation Sourcing Fund.
